Integration of a subsidiary into the parent company's market risk processing chains
Challenges & Objectives:
- Successfully integrate the brokerage subsidiary into the parent company’s market risk processing chains (analytical structure, risk calculation method, workflows, etc.)
- Calculate the regulatory capital in internal model and demonstrate its robustness to the prudential authorities
Approach & Implementation:
- Drafting of a note for the ACPR and the ECB describing the processes and results of the transition to the broker’s internal model
- Integration of the subsidiary’s risk calculation into the parent company’s tools
- Design and implementation of the parent company’s takeover of the subsidiary’s market risk framework (calibration of limits, thresholds)
- Migration of the analytical structure of the subsidiary to that of the parent company
- Definition and implementation of new processes and procedures in the context of the integration of the subsidiary within the group
Project coordination
Objectives
- Supported the Functional Architecture team in the integration of this brokerage subsidiary
Approach & Implementation:
- Formalization of the subsidiary’s business processes (P&L, Risk, Liquidity, Treasury, Accounting) and Gap Analysis with the parent company’s processes
- Formulation of recommendations for the implementation of a target architecture
- Coordination of studies and cross-functional projects:
- Upstream project framing
- Project monitoring and management
- Animation of steering and operational committees
- Prioritization and improvement of processes
